This is a pretty bold teaser video from Motorola. It looks like they will be revealing their upcoming tablet at CES 2011 (Jan 6-9). In the video they call the iPad “a giant iPhone” and they slam Samsung’s Galexy Tab by saying that it’s running the phone version of Android.

The new tablet is rumoured to be running Google’s new Honeycomb operating system, which is an Android build (3.0) that is made for tablets. The big hint is the bee that’s buzzing around the Motorola logo at the end.

Google’s Hugo Barra, director of products for mobile, has already said that Android 2.2 is not optimized for tablets. Maybe this could bring a whole new slew of competitors for Apple.

“What do we know about the tablet so far? Google’s Andy Rubin demonstrated the new version of Google Maps running on a Motorola tablet at a recent conference. Rubin said the Motorola prototype was running Google’s Honeycomb operating system, the next version of Android, on a dual-core Nvidia processor. At the conference, Rubin focused on the tablet’s 3D image-processing capability.”
