Kinect’s open source driver was hacked by NUI Group and released only a couple of weeks ago and already we’ve seen some amazing applications. This one by MIT Media Lab, is by far the best I’ve seen.

They’ve managed to make it work with Javascript to turn it into a Minority Report style, gesture based input device, which I think will be the basis for a number of Gesture-based UI systems in the future. I think that it’s even better than Toshiba’s AirSwing.
