With the impending public launch of Facebook Timeline, there are more details coming out about how Facebook is hoping to track your activity across the web and mobile applications.
The goal of this is to encourage “Realtime Serendipity,” where any of your online actions could start a conversation with your friends.
The amount of insigts and behaviorial targetting that this tracking could enable (for better or worse) is almost scary.
“Activity is a screen that shows a giant list of every single thing  you’ve done on Facebook, plus any songs you’ve listened to, articles  you’ve read, events you’ve attended, and soon, much more. It’s built on  top of a platform called Open Graph.”
