I am a huge fan of the Google Reader (I use it almost everyday), but I think that it is “too geeky” for a lot of people. To me, the new Digg looks like it could be the RSS reader for the masses.
I already use Twitter as a way to keep up on breaking news, but it really is like drinking from the fire hose. Digg on the other hand, is a great aggregator which could be the “go-to” source for personalized/social news. I have already switched it to my default homepage.
