I am a huge fan of AC/DC and I thought that it was perfect that they had a big part in the Ironman 2 soundtrack. This is a cool 3D projection on the Rochester Castle in the UK to the song “For Those About To Rock.”
“On the site of a thousand years of violent history, ACDC were pitted against Iron Man in a ground breaking architectural projection mapping project. The front facade...

Website: The Whuffie Bank
This website is attempting to develop the first reputation based currency that essentially rewards you when you do “good acts” on your social networks. Once you open a bank account you immediately start earning a monthly salary of the fake money. Eventually they hope that users will be able to trade their currency in for real or virtual products/services.

iPad App: WIRED Magazine June Issue (iTunes Link)
I’ve been playing with the first ever WIRED iPad issue for a little bit now and I love it. It has some really cool interactive elements (including some ads) as well as supporting video for some of their articles. This really is the future of “print.”
The only complaint that I have is that there are a few more ads than I would...

This is an extremely interesting concept. Basically “48 Hour Magazine” is about as close to a blog that a print magazine will ever get. The editors post a theme and crowdsource all of the content to produce a magazine in 48 Hours (not just a clever name). Contributors have 24 hours to produce their work and the editors take another 24 hours to pull the content together.
The end result...

This video is over a year old, but still really interesting. Check it if you want to find out how the internets all began.
“”History of the Internet” is an animated documentary explaining the inventions from time-sharing to filesharing, from Arpanet to Internet.”

Mode Project, the agency that created the Obama logo, just received a Silver World Medal at the 2010 New York Festivals International Television & Film Awards for this short film entitled “David Plouffe: The Art of The Possible.”
“DDB tapped Mode Project to create an opening title sequence which preceded Barack Obama’s campaign manager David Plouffe, at a...

Pretty impressive. This kettle mug (kug), boils your water for tea or coffee right in your cup, without making you look lame.
I am sure that it was only to finance this project, but I found it weird that Pfizer was involved. They have the following statement on their website:
“Developed in association with Pfizer Ireland and Arthritis Ireland in a collaborative project with NCAD.”

It looks like the privacy concerns with Facebook are actually having some effect. Not only is there a large and growing group preparing to quit facebook on the aptly named “Quit Facebook Day,” (May 31) but there is also a small group of NYU coders that are looking to build a completely secure, open sourced, facebook alternative called Diaspora. And it looks like they are on their way...
